Nokia’s promotional campaign introduces high-speed 10 Gbps Internet to Vietnam

Nokia and VNPT telecom Group to launch Vietnam’s first 10 Gbps fiber broadband network.

Finnish telecommunications company Nokia and VNPT have announced a partnership to launch Vietnam’s first 10 Gbps fiber broadband network. The network will be available to 10,000 families and businesses in eight of Vietnam’s largest localities in the initial phase.

Nokia will provide the fiber access nodes and modems for the network, while VNPT will be responsible for the network’s construction and operation. The 10 Gbps network will be the fastest Internet network available in Vietnam, surpassing the 1 Gbps broadband package launched by FPT earlier this year.

The launch of the 10 Gbps network is part of Vietnam’s goal of having 84% of its families using fiber Internet access by the end of this year. Vietnam’s fixed broadband Internet speed reached 92.51 Mbps in April, ranking it 41st globally, according to Speedtest.
